The "Time Merchant Cafe" is a blend of several genres. The Waiter of the Cafe, himself is mysterious, ominous, and certainly self-serving, and not just with his coffee. You would not consider him a bad guy but neither would you consider him a good guy. He is just out to live a long and enjoyable life, enjoyable at least for him, and at your expense. Throw in some more or less average people, unsuspecting of what is about to intrude into what seems to be an already known future. Well, maybe not know as far as details but known as far as the path that will lead them through their lives, good or bad. Mix the Waiter in with these people, throw in some mystery, add a paranormal experience about seeing a brief view of the future, some irony, some romance, occasional humor, some "wow I didn't see that coming," a tiny bit of adventure, mix perfectly and you have a variety of complete short stories that you can individually enjoy during your lunch. The one question I would ask is, if after reading these stories, if the Waiter offered you the opportunity he has offered the characters in this book, would you accept or simply enjoy the coffee?"
