On his death-bed, the King entrusts a strange metal ball, into the magician's care. This relic, (from a long-lost civilisation) has many remarkable powers Before long, our wily wizard, is flying down the centuries. We have a chance encounter with him in 21st century, Surrey woodland, where our initial impression of him, is that of an old tramp. Shortly thereafter, his adventures begin in earnest, as we follow him to some unlikely places, including the lost city of Atlantis.
The Time Magician is a series, with Merlin's adventures, unfolding in more detail in Books 2 and 3.
