Very good! Better than the International Cookbook!

"The Time-Life American Regional Cookbook is a very good American cookbook, containing many hundreds of very good recipes. The vast majority of recipes are labeled with the region of the USA from which they come or with the ethnic origins of the dish. This book is a vast improvement over the similar Time-Life International cookbook, due to the ability to identify where the dishes originate. For the date published, the photography is too dim and not as high a quality as I would like to see in a Time-Life book, but it is acceptable and useful. However, a little more work and organization and proper indexing on recipe identification would have been helpful. I think that if you are tempted by any of the books in this series, this book is the one to start with. This book, I recommend for all American Cooks.
