A sometimes harrowing look at society and inner-cities
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago
A sometimes harrowing look at society and inner-cities, the author presents apparently case studies of various abusive families and the children who are being risked. An example, one child lost their hair (an inner-city child), and the -deranged/outrageous mother sewed a wig onto her daughters head. Another parent left her children unattended and one child scalded the other with hot water from the bathtub. A sad look at the children who were abused, neglected, emotionally damaged. A book from the 1970's and the case studies probably still exist in modern day - as we call it - society. Society - a noun or verb?>? Taxes are what we pay to live in a civilized society. There was nothing civilized in any of the cases studies. NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART.

A good book if you can stomach the graphicness.
