Stripped of his birthright and cast among strangers, young Prince Godfrey walks a path shaped by shadows and silence. In a kingdom fractured by cruelty, his fate hangs between reunion and ruin, and the tyrants who rule do not yet know he lives.
About the Author
Joseph Selim was born in Ohio on August 19, 1992, and now lives in Florida, grounded in faith, family, and storytelling. A first-time author, Eagle Scout, and devoted teacher, he draws on his background in criminology, Arabic, and education to explore themes of justice, power, and moral struggle. He also has a deep love for studying theology. Teaching is not merely his profession, but a calling he cherishes deeply. Shaped by a lifelong fascination with theology, mythology, and European history, Joseph writes stories that question tyranny and honor mercy. These passions find their voice in The Throne of Emptiness, his debut novel-a meditation on rebellion and what makes a ruler worthy of a crown.
A former collegiate gymnast with a deeply social spirit, he finds inspiration in friendship, travel, and the meeting of cultures. Rooted in his Coptic faith and sustained by the support of his loving parents, two older sisters, two brothers-in-law, and six cherished nieces and nephews, he writes with reverence for sacrifice and the quiet courage of ordinary people.
