The Thread:
Twenty-three years ago, I started writing this book. I have started a few others but The Thread I finished all while working full-time, babysitting grandkids, and fulfilling all my other interests. I loved to ride my palomino horse Sue, paint and sell antiques. I put my writing off.
In the back of my mind, I was always thinking about The Thread. Self-doubt would creep in and I would put off finishing even longer.
I write like I am watching a movie, seeing the characters come to life. I write fast and furious when I sit at my desk. I noticed when my husband and I went to the movies it was hard to find movies that were interesting to the senior crowd. I will say when the movie was set in past eras, the theater was packed. If you are like me, you will enjoy taking a trip back in time.

The Thread is set in 1938 in Kentucky and Illinois. My hope is that you will fall in love with Violet, Miss Jennie and Violet's family. Abuse is real and it happened in 1938 and sadly it is still happening in 2024. Some women feel they are trapped with no way out and others summon the courage to escape their abuser.
