Life has these things. It approaches with a pendulum, swinging it from one side to the other. It is time. This movement is captivating and hypnotic. I learn to live with it; my eyes follow it, as does my spirit. I learn that life is a movement of back and forth, of tides, and I let myself be lulled. But, in brief moments of curiosity, I wonder: who holds this pendular time? And that is when I stop seeing it, when I transcend it and look life in the eyes. Every time I do so, there is an end and a beginning.
