Although Barry Edward Steven's life was cut much too short he did not leave us without. He leaves us with the gift of his writings and expressions of Life. Life that he experienced and felt and was able to paint with written words that often were much too difficult to be expressed but needing to be shared. The words, the truths as he called them. His mind was full and maybe a little perplexed compared to some. But in reading his words a person can sneak past the visual impressions and see deep into the true person within. We loved him for all the visual and shared impressions people usually share with one another but in reading his writings we can see the inner toils, trials, struggles, and mental challenges that all of us keep deep inside and secret not to reveal our differences or secret hopes, dreams or fears. His words show the twists and turns of making since of the world around us and our part or position in it. I hope when people read his writings I now share they do it while seeking their own inner truths and self introspects. and I hope it opens them up to give themselves a better understanding of their own truths or doubts or, thoughts about their own place in this confusing world.
