Sometimes things can take a most surprising turn. That is exactly what happened when Major Fanshaw decided he needed a log so he could be sure to have a good warm fire at Biggan Manor.

The getting of this log, led to a problem not easily resolved. In the course of settling the affair various otherworldly creatures were encountered. A Welsh dragon became involved. Then a treasure was unearthed and promptly lost!

Matters were then further complicated by the intervention of a highwayman and pirates.

The Major quickly learnt that getting firewood could prove to be a very tricky business.
