The Thirteen Days of Christmas
Christmas is thirteen days away.
In the New River Valley of Virginia, life is moving toward the holidays. Students are heading home for winter break. Families are decorating trees. Churches are preparing Christmas programs. For paramedic Noah Bishop, it should be just another busy December.
Then people begin to die.
At first, the reports seem isolated. A strange illness. A handful of unexplained deaths. Nothing that should concern a small Appalachian community. But when the dead begin returning to their normal lives, confusion quickly turns to fear.
The returned look human.
They talk.
They remember.
They go home to their families.
And for a while, they seem almost normal.
As the days pass and Christmas draws closer, something changes. The returned grow restless. Hungry. Violent. Entire communities begin to collapse under the weight of a nightmare no one understands.
Forced together by circumstance, Noah and a small group of survivors struggle to stay alive as the world around them unravels. With every passing day, safety becomes harder to find, supplies grow scarce, and the dead grow more dangerous. What begins as a fight for survival soon becomes a desperate journey across a devastated New River Valley in search of refuge before Christmas arrives.
Set against the familiar roads, towns, and mountains of Southwest Virginia, The Thirteen Days of Christmas is a chilling horror novel about survival, community, and the terrifying realization that the end of the world can begin in the most ordinary of places.
Christmas is coming.
The dead are waiting.
