A MUST read!!!!

This is the third book by this wonderful author. I won't give away the plot--never do, but this guy is turning out to be my favorite author in the genre; however, since this one didn't come out in paperback, I'm sensing that this may be the last book from this talented author. Shattered Bone and The Kill Box are also recommended.

Wow wow wow

The last time I stayed up all night to read a novel was Clancy's Hunt for Red October. I lost another nights sleep on the Third Consequence. And I felt even better about it.

Plausible Thriller

This book by Chris Stewart is a great read for someone who enjoys books that intertwine global politics with military technology and strategy. There are some parts of the book that could be improved through some better editing. However, Stewart's experience in the cockpit and his knowledge of Stealth technology was conveyed in this novel. I plan to read his other books and highly recommend this book.

A great read!

The Third Consequence follows on the heels of The Killer Box and Shattered Bone. Chris Stewart is particularly well suited to write his own brand of techno-thriller. Mr. Stewart is a former pilot who flew such exotic birds as the B-2 Stealth Bomber and the SR-71 Blackbird. Chris Stewart specializes in taking the reader up into tight situations with his characters as corruption creeps in to our national security forces. The Third Consequence is based upon two principles. One is, as everyone knows, that the balance of the world's economic prosperity or depressions rests largely with OPEC. The second principle is that once forces are set in motion, they have consequences. But no one can foresee what the third generation or later consequences are. Our leaders have to make educated guesses and hope that their actions don't spawn worldwide disaster down the road.Ryan C. Cooney is a U.S. Air Force pilot who is a ready-made hero. He suddenly finds himself involved with an elite force of pilots who learn to operate the Stealth bomber. Iran has made a power move by employing missiles to bomb four super tankers as they move through the Persian Gulf and the Straight of Hormuz. They mine the waters for good measure and challenge the United States to stop them as oil prices skyrocket. Ryan's job is help provide air cover for the tankers as they defy Iran. But he discovers a conspiracy within the ranks of the U.S. Air Force to assist Iran: "Ryan shook his head slowly. His mouth was so dry he found it painful to swallow. He looked up to Brathe. `Who's seen these photographs?' `You. Me. No one else.'"Stewart is simply electrifying. His plot is tight; his characters are well thought out. His sidelines contribute to the main plot. Everything is a piece of a puzzle that pulls the reader through a tunnel of intrigue and techno awe. The Third Consequence sizzles from page one and will not let the reader down until the last satisfying sentence. Stewart has created his own bailiwick which is sure to result in many satisfying best sellers in the years to come. A great read.Shelley Glodowski, Reviewer

good but not great

I did enjoy this book. The threat from the middle east is real. They could potentially buy the loyalty of an officer. Money can be very powerful. This created an intersting scenario. The gbook was exciting and interesting. Not the best I've read (in the genre), but good enough to look foward to more from the same author.
