What an amazing story told of WWII through the eyes of a Polish Catholic girl. A love story so true that it survived decades of pain, heartache, intertwined with faith and hope. Not your average holocaust book, told from a different POV, one that contains an insight to what bravery looks like from hearts wrapped up in despair.

Best Book Ever

This book may be the best book I’ve ever read. The back and forth storytelling works so perfectly. I cried through half of this book and I recommend it to everyone I know.

This book is fantastic

A deeply enticing story intertwining modern day and war torn Poland 1940s. Mystery and love are woven throughout, absolutely could not put this book down.
