The Therapy: humans are very private animals

Humans are very private animals. This need for privacy didn't evolve into us the same way walking on two legs did. We walk on two legs because it gives us survival advantages. But this need for privacy comes from a social standpoint. We have leant that knowledge is power. The more someone knows about you, the more power they have to use against you. We have learnt to stay private. Our houses have walls in them, to make sure we don't make sure no one peeps inside. Our brains have filtered in them to make sure we don't speak out sensitive information. And these filters are the biggest enemies of those seeking the truth. Telling some the truth requires you to trust them enough to give them the power over you. Giving someone the key to enter into your private space is you letting them walk away with the most powerful thing you have in you. The power to decide. Once you lose that power, the helplessness can make you do the thing which you never thought you would.
