Very helpful in writing all different kinds of thank you notes, or just how to say thanks in general.

Very Useful

This book is excellent for anyone who needs to say a short "Thank You." I believe it will prove useful many times in the future. I just got married and had no idea how to say thank you to all of the many people we recieved gifts from. I have flipped through it many times for ideas on what words to use, but it is still very difficult. The notes are very formal in the book, and I am definately not that formal. This book has encouraging words on many topics, along with some samples of notes that can be written. A few of these topics include friend, birthday, and everyday thank-yous, romantic and edible thank yous, family and teacher thank yous, and even business thank-yous. It also has a nice list of adjectives that can be used in a letter or note.

A good book addressing a wide array of thank you situations.

I thought that this book might be useful in helping me write my thank you notes for my wedding. While the book did contain some information relevant to this area, it actually covers much more than just saying thank you for gifts. In addition to addressing how to say thank you for various occasions, the author offers suggestions for all-purpose thank-yous such as thanking someone for being your friend, thanking hosts for dinner, business thank yous, etc. She provides examples of different types and styles of wording to use--eg, comparing the person to jewels--as well as gives ideas for more creative expressions of thanks, such as using food items. Finally, she discusses how to thank specific people, including family, romantic partners, and teachers, and there is even a section on "kid-sized thanks." If you are looking for an all-purpose book to help you show appreciation to the important people in your life, this book is excellent, but it fares less well in providing specific advice for writing gift thank you notes.

Inspirational Words for All Occassions

Wow! That was my first reaction after reading Robyn Spizman's inspirational Thank You book. She really shows how to send a heartfelt thank you for any occasion. Instead of the traditional, "Thank you so much for the blah...," Robyn really shows how to make every word count and show how truly thankful you are, not only for the gift, but to the giver for being a special friend or relative. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone and everyone who ever wants to say thank you and mean it.

The perfect words for everyday living!

I have found this book to be so helpful in both my personal and professional life. I was always taught as a little girl that writing thank you notes was one of life's basic requirements. Not only should this effort be expected, but so appreciated. And it always makes me feel good that I took the time to think of someone else. And the excitement of this book is that Ms. Spizman gives some exceptional and creative ways to say what you wanted to say. This book was recently a life saver when I had to write special notes after the loss of my mom. The book seem to take the words right out of my mouth. I have given this book as a gift numerous times and it is so appreciated by the recipient. It is definitely the gift that keeps giving.
