The text has undergone multiple variations, produced by the changes in the paradigm of linguistics, which has generated diverse conceptions. The term text derives from the Latin verb "textere" which means to weave, to interweave and from the noun "textus" which expresses something woven or interwoven. This means that the text is a set of coherent and cohesive statements, which are interwoven through meaning.To know our culture is to know how to read the universe, which is constructed with discourse focused on the communicative intention of its speakers. Therefore, reading is a cognitive process that establishes an interaction between reader, text and context, Sol (1997).
