The Texas Ranger

DP is one of my favorite Historical Romance writers. She enterlaces history through out her books. You are not wasting time reading fictional work but rather, you are getting educated as well on various subjects. DP is well read herself and does a great job researching her material. The town of Jacobsville has become legendary in DP's books. It was named after its founding father Big John Jacobs who also founded an empire here. The county is likewise named Jacobs. DP has a lot of charm and humor in her stories. She tells compelling tales with her Jacobsville Tough Guy Cowboys, Sheriffs, and Mercenaries. This is a good book to read if you are a western fan and like the Texas Rangers. Good reading material--I gave this one a five star rating.

A Good Read

I read the negative reviews for this novel before I even picked it up to read it myself and must say I was surprised. It was not the dull, dreadful book that many people thought it was. In my opionion the characters were likable and the chemistry between Brannon and Josette was very powerful. As an avid Diana Palmer reader and fan, I will admit this book was not her best, but then again definately not her worst. Overall I would reccommend this book to you!

A Wonderful Read

Ms. Palmer does it again. This was a wonderful book by one of the best romance writers of the genre. Don't expect a mystery when reading this.. Ms. Palmer does not write mysteries she writes ROMANCE. Do not be surprised that the bad guy is revealed early in the storey. The book is not about the mystery, it is about the romance between two people who in classic Palmer fasion are trying to get back together after a rocky start.

Great

Diana Palmer has done a great job crossing over from just purly romance to a book that has a mystery plot, with romance tied into it. The story kept me going from pag e to page and the characters had a great rapport that I enjoyed. It is much different from her regular books, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Di Palmer merges super mystery with another great romance

The Texas Ranger was one very enjoyable book. It is so refreshing to read a traditional romance author who, though adding other depths and themes to her fiction, does not overshadow a wonderful love story with plots/subplots of murder and mayhem. Continuing to make the relationship between hero/heroine the basic storyline is one of this author's special talents. Hope for a story in future about Grier!
