The Texas Ranger

DP is one of my favorite Historical Romance writers. She enterlaces history through out her books. You are not wasting time reading fictional work but rather, you are getting educated as well on various subjects. DP is well read herself and does a great job researching her material. The town of Jacobsville has become legendary in DP's books. It was named after its founding father Big John Jacobs who also founded an empire here. The county is likewise named Jacobs. DP has a lot of charm and humor in her stories. She tells compelling tales with her Jacobsville Tough Guy Cowboys, Sheriffs, and Mercenaries. This is a good book to read if you are a western fan and like the Texas Rangers. Good reading material--I gave this one a five star rating.

Great

Diana Palmer has done a great job crossing over from just purly romance to a book that has a mystery plot, with romance tied into it. The story kept me going from pag e to page and the characters had a great rapport that I enjoyed. It is much different from her regular books, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Di Palmer merges super mystery with another great romance

The Texas Ranger was one very enjoyable book. It is so refreshing to read a traditional romance author who, though adding other depths and themes to her fiction, does not overshadow a wonderful love story with plots/subplots of murder and mayhem. Continuing to make the relationship between hero/heroine the basic storyline is one of this author's special talents. Hope for a story in future about Grier!
