Book Overview

Welcome to Willow Falls-Where Small Town Terror Awaits

Thirteen-year-old Joey Speight's life is turned upside down when his family moves from Chicago to the sleepy river town of Willow Falls to live with his mysterious great-grandmother, Ruth. Relocating to a new town is tough enough, but the whispers of a horrifying creature called the Eyebiter that feasts on the eyes of its victims make Joey question the safety of his new home.

Along with his new friend Len, Joey digs into the town's dark past. He uncovers a chilling history drenched in blood, dating back centuries. A cryptic journal from his great-grandmother's family reveals connections to the town's origins and Joey must face his fears to embrace a destiny he never wanted.

Can he survive the terror of Willow Falls and defeat the Eyebiter, or will he become another victim of its insatiable hunger?

Fans of atmospheric horror, gruesome folklore, and relentless suspense won't want to miss The Terror of Willow Falls.

Great read

I really like books that are folklore themed; even if it's not legit folklore. Even new folklore can grow roots and take hold if given a chance. While the story is great, there's a couple of things that bothered me the further I got into the history of Eyebiter and into the story itself. I'm a bit confused on the events that happened on Halloween night. They were definitely not the work of Eyebiter but it's made to assume they were. I don't see Eyebiter having that much control considering his history. And when we meet Anne, she was described as having blonde pigtails that were similar to Sally's, but on page 166 (Kindle edition) Joey says her hair is brown. All in all it's a great, fast-paced read that's almost sure to keep the reader hooked. I give this book 4 of 5 Paws.
