This was the description for the original version of The Terrified Prince: In this heart-warming fairytale, young Prince Alan is beset by many fears and anxieties. Not only does he suffer from OCD, he is afraid of almost everything: enclosed spaces, the cold, the heat, rain, noise, smells, and animals. He is also bullied mercilessly by his father the King, and by the girl he will be forced to marry as soon as he turns 18. Fortunately, the caring and compassionate stableman's daughter, Agnes, befriends him. Through her practical suggestions and much encouragement, the prince slowly learns to confront his fears. This fairytale, The Terrified Prince: Second Edition, offers quite a bit more. It is longer, more detailed, the plot takes on twists that were not in the original version, and the ending is different. That being said, both versions stand on their own, and it is worthwhile to read them both.
