An incredible inspiration of courage and healing!

WOW!!! I've known Jenny is an amazing woman, but this book was so much more. In reading this book (I too couldn't put it down) you get to know her honesty, her brokenness, her innocence, her perserverance, & so much strength and courage that will inspire you! She is and will continue to help so many because she has never given up....her recovery, her honesty, and healing shows in this book. We all struggle with torment in our minds in one way or another from our experiences, but few are willing to be this honest, open, and willing to let it come out(and then publish it!). This book is a powerful and TRUE story of a survivor, a conquerer, a woman with purpose, a wonderful person..friend..wife..and mother, what a leader with HOPE - one we can all learn from. It's a MUST READ! I cried at the end, when she could now see herself as she always was. The one she really is and love herself! An incredible woman whom God loves! I can't wait to read the next one!!

Astonishing Courage and Openness of ones life so far

I could not put this book down. Such a brillant story of a very brave women. Thank you for sharing with the world your honesty, courage and most importantly, hope! Many of us have lived double lives in some way or another but you were able to articulate your extraordinary pain as well as share with others "optimism for life after abuse" in a way that only a sensitive,compassionate, honest person could. Thank you.

Very Brave!!!

I thought this book was so beautifully written! I thought the sensitive topic of the book would warrant very dark story. That is not what I discovered. I found the story to be inspiring, empowering. The story of an innocent, smart, determined, caring and talented child. Jenny not only shared with us the sadness and shame of being violated at such an innocent age. Her story also encompassed the happier,exciting moments entwined through out her childhood. Having had similiar life experiences, Jenny's story reminded me that there WAS more to my childhood than the things that brought shame to my life. So eloquently written I feel I've known Jenny all my life. I have to say I hope to read more of her writings in the future. This woman is a gifted and talented writer! Bravo!

Amazingly written and courageous story!

This book is an amazing story of a very courageous woman. It is well written and gripping. You cant put it down. Anyone who has suffered family betrayal will identify with this story. It is a powerful story of how one woman can use a tragedy to heal and excel in her life.

Bravery

I had to put this book down three times because I was crying so hard. It is an incredibly honest and straight forward account of a now successful, complicated woman who survived awful experiences. I think it is incredibly brave for Jenny Kuvin to put this out there, knowing full well that folks are going to call her 'crazy' and a 'liar.' If the person who wrote the previous review had a smidgen of the bravery that Jenny had, they wouldn't hide their name. I personally don't even believe that the person read the book at all! Kudos Jenny, and I know you will bring hope to a lot of people who have gone through similar horror.
