The Temple Priest: A Long Story

The temple was believed to be more than fifty years old, and hardly anybody knew who had built it, and as the temple priest could not speak or write, he might had no choice than to keep many secrets to himself. Devotees had been coming in hundreds in every week to offer prayers for blessings, but nobody had ever thought about the temple previously as today. The eighty-eight year old priest was the only man in the temple they had seen and believed to be the first priest of that temple, who now had died. Therefore, the wise and good men of the colony were worrying at the sad state that now the temple had no priest. Soon that day's light was gone with the body of the temple priest in the holy fire.The light from the sun came again for another day, and all the best people from the colony met together in the temple to discuss the matter. They were sitting in the temple, wondering and talking when suddenly a wise man said, "Since we do not know what to do for a priest, let us find the people who had gone with the pain to build this temple."
