I'd say he is in the top quarter of authors I've read.

I really enjoy his writing style, as fiction is concerned, but come on, my college english classes would've failed me for having so much "filler".

Inside North Korea & Other Scary Places

A great look behind-the-scenes of what life is probably like in No. Korea. Very chilling. Mr. Baldacci's writing style is consistent with other books of his & definitely holds your attention. The first few chapters seem to be "all over the place" but you will soon discover how they are all woven together to make this a very good read.

Would have given 5 stars, but

I've been buying Baldacci's books because of his great story telling but in this book, I've noticed he is starting to use foul language. The next Wil Robie book, The Guilty, is even worse language. Guess I'll have to find another author to be my favorite.
