A Taoist Treatise on Rulership

The only reason I gave this review a 4 stars, is because of the various typos that sprang up in this edition. The editors weren't doing their job, and it reflects poorly on the publisher. As for the book itself, it is a (roughly) 2nd century text known as the Huainan Zi, or the Masters of Huainan, a series of verses in the style of the Tao Te Ching. The writing combines loose elements of Confucianism, heavily overlaid by Taoist philosophy, with emphasis on equilibrium between the ruling body, and it's subjects. A highly enjoyable read, with a message that still pertains to modern day leadership. You just might find yourself surprised.
