The Reporter is time itself. It is an invisible entity that occasionally blends into the surroundings and the historical time period of which it is reporting by adopting human form. It has many pseudonyms, but none of the names it uses are important as they are imposed on the people of the time-shift as just a mask of integration. For ease of reference, we will call the reporter by the name of 'Atalquar' and will refer to the reporter in the male subjective. Atalquar's focus is to report on the past history of the world, as events are formed, and nothing else. He is not there to try and change what occurs and his reporting is greatly assisted by the indulgence of hindsight as, with no imposing time restraints, he can follow the outcome that is unfolding in the present, of wherever that may be; to see the effects, implications and possible end-result of how the actions taking place in that particular present will ultimately affect the future.Atalquar is not a trained reporter and so his stories may lack the professionalism that can be relayed by a qualified journalist. The narrator attempts, however, to use the narrative to present his views in as clear and precise a manner as possible, though these views may be somewhat clouded in his interpretation of events by various factors beyond his control. Whilst inhabiting human form, it is also noted that his viewpoint can sometimes be subtly altered by the complexity of human thinking that is known as emotion. The stories that you are about to read are random and represent a cross-section of events and incidents that have transpired throughout the evolvement of this world and, because they have happened, you will probably already know the punch-line of the tales. It is hoped, however, that they are presented in a readable fashion, with facts about the incidents scattered here and there, in an attempt that you may learn a couple of things that you may not previously have been aware. A few other random individual stories are also attached that provide their own personal descriptions of accounts that have transpired. These are enclosed only because it is considered that they may come as a welcome detachment from the historical viewpoint that is sometimes displayed within the Atalquar reports.
