In the Spring of 1974, Cat returned to Devon with her Canadian daughter and boyfriend. She did not imagine that the family would despise her hippy lifestyle and disown them. She was broke, tired of camping and she and Donny were no longer in love. The conclusion was that she and Star would go to Maggie in London, find a job, and go home to Anya and Leo at the commune.Before leaving, the campground, a fateful event occurred. A genuine gypsy caravan announced itself. It was drawn by a grand horse and two male occupants. The son, Mike and Cat connected. She lived everything about him, the way he looked, and the way he held Star. They were to meet up in London.Cat loved the City. She had old and new friends, found work and booked her passage to Canada. At these soirees the group would freely discuss many topics, but Cat kept her one night stand a secret; and she wondered why . Eventually Mike did show up at her workplace. Soon afterwards she and Star left in his car.The tale then brings us to recent times. We discover the series of events that took place all those years ago. Two Brits together with a couple of Canadians try to find what the future, good or bad, held for Cat and her daughter.
