Allergies develop when the body's immune system reacts to external sensitizing agents (pollens, insect bites, certain plants, etc.) or to ingested substances (food, medications, etc.). Allergens trigger a reaction in predisposed individuals. To get rid of them, you must avoid all contact with the allergen(s) once you have identified them. Certain plants reduce allergic reactions. Allergic rhinitis refers to a reaction to agents such as pollution, dust, or pollen. It generally occurs at any time of the year; however, hay fever is a seasonal condition. Sneezing, nasal discharge, sinus congestion, and eye irritation are the most common symptoms. Mild cases can be treated on your own; however, in the event of an acute attack, consult a doctor. Diet: eliminate any food that promotes mucus formation (dairy products, eggs, sugar, white flour, fats, alcohol, etc.).
