This book will take you on a 500 year journey through a fascinating history of families, faith and migration of Bachman(n)'s from Georg Bachman (1460-1527) in Switzerland to my father Frank Edward Bachman Jr. (1925-1970) in America. I put together this book to record my many hours of family research and for any present or future interest from my siblings (Richard, Susan, and Raymond Bachman) and their progeny. Other Bachmans, who may link to our heritage, should find these stories of past lives insightful to their own search for "Who Do You Think You Are?" As a youth, my ancestry seemed unimportant. I gave little to no thought of who they were, what they did, or what they accomplished. My then living grandparents were the extent of the my contacts and knowledge of older relatives.
