The Sweet Thereafter: My Journey Back to Life

After dying and enjoying a conversation with Jesus, my life completely changed. From smoking two and a half packs of cigarettes per day and doing a multitude of drugs mixed with alcohol, I cannot believe I'm still alive. However, Jesus had a massive plan for my existence. I could not believe anybody would find me attractive enough to look at me, let alone marry me. With that said, Julie and I found each other. She tolerates all of my idiosyncrasies, which I never thought anybody could.

Going from cradle to grave had not been God's plan for me. I hope this book tugs at your heartstrings, but some parts might make you feel somewhat embarrassed. I ask for your forgiveness. Having a traumatic brain injury gives me many daily challenges. Whether it be from my head pain, down to my foot and toe pain, whether it be my inability to remember details in my life, I press forward. I am strong through Christ. Hence, I need to remember a Bible verse that one of my pastors, Scott S. shared with me:

"He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]-yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God had done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP
