Great read.....must read

This book was really good. I never read a Kayla Perrin book before. And I love this book. When times are tough you have to do what you have to do to reach your dreams. Anything.

Fast Pace Read

Kahari Brown is a wide receiver for the Raiders who tries to have as little drama as possible in his life so he can continue to have the least amount of distractions on the field. Zoe Andrews is a striving reporter hoping to get that big break as a sportscaster. So when she goes to a Raiders game with hopes of speaking with Kahari (who rarely ventures from online generic answers when it comes to reporters)she hopes to get the breaking point interview of her career. Needless to say, she does but not the way she planned. This book has a fast pace and instantly hooks the reader on page one. There were times when I was laughing and times when I was like Zoe what are you doing?... But she is the type of character that will have you rooting for her to the very end.

A fast pace, extremely entertaining sports-based romance

Kahari Brown, star wide receiver of his professional football team, is wary of journalists. He has seen the detrimental impact their zealous investigations and reporting has had on the life of his teammates and on his game in the past and so he avoids them as much as possible. He's come to an unspoken agreement with most of the regular journalists that cover his team. In fact, despite a small report by a tabloid paper on a woman who claims he has fathered her child, most of the journalists who cover his team have avoided asking him about that event just to keep the trickle of information that he is will to provide about his game coming. All of that changes when aspiring sports journalist Zoë Andrews walks into an after-game interview session determined to make it big by getting an interview with Kahari. When her chance comes to ask questions, she freezes and then abruptly asks about his alleged child. Kahari is disgusted. He has no idea that Zoë is driven by unresolved issues with her own deadbeat dad, a former NFL player. As strongly as Kahari avoids journalists, Zoë avoids professional sports player like the plague. Despite their inauspicious beginning, Zoë and Kahari have undeniable chemistry and a deep attraction for each other. When Zoë decides to get the story from the supposed mother of Kahari's child to propel her own career, tempers and sparks begin to flare. As always, Kayla Perrin crafts a fun, engaging tale with well-developed characters and a charming storyline.
