B ig-assed FUNNY!!

I first rented the audio version of this book....after listening to it, I had to go out and buy it for my own self! Not only was it funny, it had some kick-ass recipes that I just had to try. After I bought it, I had to buy books for my friends. This is without a doubt, one of the neatest books I've ever had. It is now tattered...cause I really do use it as a cookbook!!! And can read it...like...forever./ Great read...and good recipes!

LAUAGHING ALL THE WEIGH

Jill Conner Browne, popular author of "The Sweet Potato Queens' Book Of Love" and "God Save The Sweet Potato Queens," gives equal measures of sassiness and sense to her rollicking reading of her latest royal report. The author now spends full-time touring and lecturing to her contingents of loyal subjects, and so she should because she is the true voice of the Sweet Potato Queen, whether she is going toe-to-toe with Betty Crocker whom she identifies as responsible for "some of the insane ideas we have struggled with and against for the last 50 years" or urging royalists to combat aging by becoming blond no matter what. As for Ms. Browne's tips on financial planning - who else would recommend starting a trust fund to cover costs associated with menopause? Delicious!

How can you not love a book that offers financial advice like, "There's a lot to be said for rich old guys with bad hearts and no relatives"? Great recipes and even better anecdotes! Only for those with a sense of humor, though.Other deliciously funny books: "No One's Even Bleeding" & "Delano"

Funny!

What a funny book! Sure, a little racy in parts but that's what we expect from our Sweet Potato Queens! Recipes look yummy, and the financial tips are a hoot. Some of the stories have a real heart and "teared me right up". Jill Conner Browne, you are my hero. By the way, want to clone that "Cutest Boy" and send him on up to Cincinnati?

Y'all.. you gotta get this book!

What can I say about this book other then it is the best and you just have to get it! If you are a fan of the first two, you know how much laughter and fun you are in for. If you have not had the luck of reading any of Jill's books, you are in for a wonderful ride. The recipies are fabulicious, try the deep fried pickles! This is a read it all the way though in one sitting 'cause ya can't put it down, call your girlfiends and tell them to get the book, can't stop laughing to save your life kind of book. You won't be sorry :)
