(Second edition as per review the typos have been corrected) This book series is inspired by my son. My daughter actually came up with the name for the series. There is a song called "my wild, wild son" that we always say is about him. I want to start the first book off by kind of introducing him but as it progresses, I really want to get into emotional development, coping skills and nervous system regulation. When you have a kid that's a big feeler and very sensitive or on the spectrum, nervous system regulation is vital. Once they can really begin to understand their body and what makes them calm and what makes them disregulated, They have the ability to gain more control over their reactivity and we can support them in doing so. My son is very wise among all of his feelings and there is a lot to learn from him as well as I believe from all the sensitive children. A lot of it is about putting them in environments where they can be free and where they can be themselves so they don't need so many boundaries in their early development and once they get to a developmental place where they can navigate more slowly shifting their environment and expectations of them as they are capable. *typos edited and updated To see more of what I'm working on or follow along in myself publishing journey, you can find me at embodying magic on Instagram or email me at embodyingmagic@gmail.com
