NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER .Theauthor of The Aviator's Wife returns with a triumphant new novel about New York's "Swans" of the 1950s-and the scandalous, headline-making, and enthralling friendship... This description may be from another edition of this product.
The book was about Truman Capote and his "swans". Five friends who he loved being with. However, I think it was very Babe forward. And while she might have been his BFF, I think the other "swans" should have been give as much time in the book as Babe got. I think the author was a little obsessed with Babe and I would have enjoyed it more if the relationships with the other "swans" were as detailed.
behind the scenes

As others have said, this is kind of a behind-the-scenes peek at the high profile men and women of the era and they sacrificed for their chosen life. Benjamin always does her research....makes me want to learn more about Capote and the swans.
Great book!
