Wonderful and eye opening

My name is Tim and I purchased your book at Bethany Beach last week. If you recall, we shared stories of living in Northern Virginia. It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife and I am grateful to have purchased your book. It was a refreshing read and it drew several parallels to my life. I believe my wife informed you that I spent 12 years in the fast paced, high tech sector where I spent little time at home, and the time I was home, was spent strategizing, worrying, planning and calculating my next career move. I was in control of my destiny, so it seemed. After missing one too many family functions and events for my children, I realized that my success would no longer be measured by my accomplishments at work or what my W-2 stated, but my relationship with my family and God. I've been out of the tech world for 2 years now and feel like I've regained my life and probably even added years to it. I've often wrestled with the "Flow" that you so well describe in your book and being in control. It was wonderful and eye opening. I, like yourself, was raised Catholic and am raising our three wonderful children in the Church. I think it's very important and has helped our family bond to a greater degree. I was brought to tears several times in reading your book. The relationship that "Joe" had with his Father was very special and I cherish every minute I have to spend with mine. He is my "Guru" as well. My only hope is that I can be half the man that he is as I raise my children. It's going to be a monumental challenge. As you know we had a wonderful week last week from a weather perspective. That last day however, a dense fog came in off the ocean. So thick that you could not see more than 50 feet. For a minute or two I contemplated taking a walk on that foggy beach. But then, the guiding principals that are so well described in your book ran through my head one at a time. I felt a peace come over me, I felt like I had lived a parallel existence vicariously through the character in the book and therefore did not need to make that journey. It was wonderful. Quite honestly, the events occurring in today's world scare me fiercely. I realize I can have little impact however if we take care of those around us, as the concentric circles radiate outward one would hope that it would be contagious, thereby making the world a better place. Once again, it was a pleasure meeting you and the book was an excellent read. I honestly could not put it down and I was looking for more. Please keep me posted.

An Inspiring Tale

This book allows you to explore the greatest lessons of life through an enchanted journey. Even though this book brought tears to my eyes, I felt like a more complete person after reading it. The lessons in this book span across all ages and religions. Reading this book is a very inspiring, "feel good" experience. I think anyone will learn something about themselves when they walk away from this book. I am so glad that I bought a copy of this book, because I plan on reading it many times in my life. Looking forward to more books from this author.

Exceptional lessons for life!

This book has brought new meaning to my life and to others in my family who have read it. Taking a walk on a beach and meeting the 'One' tells of the great faith of an ordinary person. How many times we have traveled the ocean sands in hopes of finding answers to our questions and in this book the answers to this man come in a spiritual way. The book has an appeal to both men and women of all ages not to mention that it is quite easy to read. It also has some memorable moments that tend to stay in the mind of us who have read it. My greatest admiration to the author and I hope he writes more. I will read it often! Thank you.

A Search for Meaning

Joe's conversational style makes the story of his journey to self awareness almost interactive. The reader feels as if Joe is in the room with him, telling his tale of coming to terms with life's questions and realities. The message may be simple but it is one that we can all gather strength, hope, and peace from.
