Awesome story/great illustrations

This is a superbly calm story to read to children. The illustrations are gorgeous. My 5 yr old daughter has loved this book since the day I brought it home. She often requests it for a bed time story and it seems to really calm her spirit. It basically tells the story of what happens as the sun goes down and the moon fills the sky in a poignant and beautiful way. I cannot believe more people have not reviewed this book yet-it is just a beautiful children's book.

A wonderful goodnight book

My children received this book as a gift when they were small, and I have tried to buy it as a gift for others - I am delighted to see it is available! The illustrations are lovely, and the text has the same rythmic, soothing quality as the best bedtime books. As far as I am concerned, "Sun's Asleep" ranks right up there with "Goodnight, Moon."
