Not long ago, the United States won the Cold War against the former Soviet Union, dividing it into smaller states; but now the country is experiencing turmoil, both Russia and China are gaining speed, putting the US in danger. The Europeans are posing a risk as well, aiming to reclaim the power and influence they once had. It was December 2029, the American public was confused, their economy was in dire straits, and unemployment was higher than it had ever been. Homelessness now affected the millions, and tents could be seen all over the country, especially in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Detroit. The US' doctrine is to prevent any other country from having influence and power by suppressing their technological and economic advancement at all costs. This was vital in order for America to maintain its standing in cutting-edge technologies such as missile and satellite technologies, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, stem-cell research, and nuclear technologies. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) project was established to strengthen US power with the aim of maintaining their number one standing in the world and sought help from top-notch scientists throughout the country. Eight of the best experts in the field from the finest universities were selected for this task and were given research grants from the DHS. These scientists called themselves the Patriot and their mission to save the United States was highly confidential. A brainstorming meeting was arranged in a secret location, wherein each Patriot proposed their unique ideas on how to maintain US dominance throughout the world. This book reveals how the DHS selected the top eight scientists to help the country maintain and increase its dominance in the world. The story begins by describing the way each scientist set out to turn their idea into reality in order to preserve the US' superiority and status as the sole global superpower. These scientists, with support from the DHS and other US government agencies, successfully executed their ideas. The author will describe each scientific tool proposed by the selected experts in detail as well as their economic impacts. The fictional events described in this book take place in the future when, after several years of gradual economic decline, the US economy finally hits rock bottom and reaches a chaotic state in the winter of 2029. The US' adversaries see its ailing economy as an opportunity to take down this great nation's government, which finds itself weakened and distracted by the chaos that has taken hold of the country. Fortunately, the Patriots were able to implement their expertise to save the country and re-establish its dominance in the world.
