Henry Gardiner - now in his eighty-fifth year - is a gentle unassuming man and despite the passage of time he remains handsome, charming and elegant. Tom - Henry's grandson - loves his grandfather and when visiting would spend most of his time in the summerhouse listening to his grandfather's stories and recollections.
