There was a pet dog named Jack
Who lived with his owner in a pack
But one day, they moved away
To a town that was strange and faraway

Jack sniffed around his new place
Found new smells and lots of space
He roamed the streets all day
Making friends along the way

But one day, he lost his way
Following a scent, he went astray
He looked around with fearful eyes
Nothing looked familiar, to his surprise

He barked and howled at every turn
But no one came, the dog did yearn
For his owner's voice and gentle hands
To guide him back to his land

But one day, a kind soul saw him
Gave him food, treats, and water to swim
The stranger knew the town so well
To Jack's story, he took a spell

He posted on social media, a dog's pic
Hoping that someone would click
And recognize Jack from his old town
And bring him back to his home, much renowned

The post went viral, all around
Messages and calls did surround
Jack's owner who had been searching high and low
Finally found his pet who had nowhere to go
