There is no cure for insulin-dependent (type 1) diabetes
Published by T1D , 9 months ago
In the description, we read, "This book is about the discovery of a cure for diabetes and insulin." Um. nope. Don't buy this book thinking you will read about a cure! Insulin is a treatment, not a cure, for diabetes.
The cover art is misleading, as it appears to connect the discovery of insulin with Ancient Egypt. They may have noted that ants were attracted to the urine of diabetics but insulin wasn't discovered until 1921; used for the first time to treat a human diabetic in 1922!
