The sacred truth is, when a natural disaster occurs, it's absolutely without consideration for human life or feelings. It's therefore our responsibility as humans to keep up... not the other way around. This is a reality our ancestors understood very well and used as a basis for inventions in African Spirituality. It wasn't a negative mindset... they were simply using the worst of nature as one dimension among multiples for understanding and projecting aspects of the human experience, for survival.
