Nice collection of 52 stories of family life

This is a cute collection of stories taking place in a fun family with lots of kids, pets, and even a few mice! The stories are relatively short, and the watercolor illustrations are a fun addition to each page. (I liked the illustrations so much, I'm thinking of copying them and making them into birthday cards!) I also liked that this is a non-traditional family. It is a blended family, 4 kids from one Dad (who comes over to visit), and the new baby with Joseph who lives with the family. I also like that the family is biracial, which is hard to find in children's books. But the book does not make a point of either of these unique aspects of family. Instead, it tells stories from the point of view of what kids are interested in: kittens, making watery messes at bathtime, sharing, little mice, caterpillars turning into butterflies, finding a ladybug on a leaf, helping to wash a car.... This is a cute book for any family!
