The Story Circle

As the stars began to twinkle above the Rainbow Tree, the children packed up their toys and storybooks. The air still sparkled with bits of magic - a shimmer from the unicorn's mane, a swirl of syrup from the dragon's pancakes, and a single glowing bubble from the mermaid's song.

Lila, Ben, Maya, Leo, and Sami held hands along with their other friends, and smiled.

"Stories make the world brighter," said Maya.

"And they make us brave " added Ben.

"Kind," said Leo.

"Creative," whispered Lila.

"And a little bit magical," giggled Sami.

The Rainbow Tree glowed softly as if it agreed. And as the children skipped home under the moonlight, the whisper of a hundred fairytales followed them through the breeze - waiting for the next story circle to begin.
