Could not put this book down

This book starts and does not stop! It is such a compelling story and it is so inspirational to see how far this woman has come from such a low point in her life as this to such a wonderful person that she has become. This book really does tell a tell that the human spirit can conquer anything that it sets its mind to. It also communicates that we are not alone here in our struggles and that there is a higher power out there helping us to overcome these obstacles in life. Truly an inspirational book. I highly recommend this to anyone struggling through life and especially to loved ones of people battling with addictions. True, the writing style is rough and it could have used an edit, but at least you can tell that it is not total fiction like "A Million Little Pieces". I encourage all my students to read this book to ready them for the field of social work because of the many dynamics that are in this book. This is a "diamond in the rough". I highly recommend this book.

What a Journey

What a journey this woman has taken. I don't believe I could have survived such struggles myself, maybe that is why our character tried so hard to check out of this life so many times. She definitely had a guardian angel looking out for her and had a higher calling in life, as God would not allow for her to go home on any of those occassions. This is a spiritual book, a book that has great inspiration for not only addicts or those who love them, but also for every day people who need to overcome obstacles in their lives. This person's ability to triumph over what ever came her way shows us that it is possible for all of us to make changes in our lives if we want them badly enough. All we must do is ask for the help and it will be given to us. The ending left me wondering and wanting more, is there a sequel?? I hope so.
