Max has written another wish list. Year after year, he does the same.
When his latest wishes are left unfulfilled once again, he makes a decision that very few would dare to make. He sets off alone for the North Pole, determined to confront Santa himself. In the icy vastness, he discovers something that deeply unsettles him: unopened letters, whole mountains of unopened mailbags, and the famous Christmas sack, standing there unattended.

Lena loves her hobby, radio listening. While scanning the frequencies, she accidentally picks up a chaotic transmission. Did she really just hear the voice of Santa Claus? Does he truly exist? All she can make out is that the Christmas sack has gone missing, and that Christmas must not fail. Tom and Henrik, her school friends, hear about it and make a big decision together with her. They want to help find the sack.

As the children set out to save Christmas and face their own small adventures, important questions arise. What does it really mean to be heard? What remains of a wish list if no one ever reads it? And what happens when even Santa Claus has to realise that, from time to time, he too needs help?
