The Spirit of Whiskeytown Lake includes over ninety wonderful photographs of Northern California's Whiskeytown Lake. Included are inspirational thoughts that will warm your heart, and appropriate Bible verses to reflect upon, and encourage your Spirit, as each page is turned. This book and the photographs were completed prior to events that would change my life, and Whiskeytown..... for the remainder of my life. In 2013 I broke my back and had two neurosurgeries. I had to learn to walk. Time and patience, wonderful doctors, physical therapy, the unconditional love of my husband, consistent work, and loads of prayer - and I healed far better than was expected. Time was a necessary factor.. This year was to be the year to find a good publicist and get this book on the market. The majority of the photos were taken from my kayak as I relaxed and enjoyed this amazing space. We are in the midst today (July 2018) of probably the largest fire in California history. There are two things you can be sure of: Change, and God. That being said, I hope residents of our beloved Redding will have solid memories of the photos in this book, and be able to recall Whiskeytown as it was. And for those who never were blessed to be able to see it as we did, keep in mind....things must die before they can have birth and be new and beautiful once more. Nothing is forever except God. Please enjoy.
