The Spirit in Lacrosse

This was a great book for someone just beginning to play the game. It's a simple and quick read that just gives the basics on what lacrosse is about and the rich history behind it. Having played lacrosse and coached for a number of years, I found this to be the first great causal read for younger players.

Great Book

This book follows a boy during his adventure with a magical lacrosse stick. The story has historic value as well as coming of age aspect to the plot. I highly recommend this to everyone

A great read and lesson for both life and sport

This book was referred to me by another old lax player. I am happy to say that it is a great read in itself and holds great lessons for all sports, especially lacrosse, and life in general. My son, who I have to force to read, has read this book cover to cover and enjoyed it!

A legend for all ages

After looking high and low for a gift for my son that wasn't ANOTHER lacrosse t-shirt or piece of equipment, I came across this wonderful inspiring story of a boy who held the power of an ancient lacrosse stick in his hands. This book teaches a wonderful lesson that, although winning is important, knowing how we become winners and the history of the sport is even more important. What started out as a gift for my LAX midi, quickly was passed amongst the family and we all took different ideas from the story and enjoyed fabulous family discussions. Each coach should make this mandatory reading for their teams! Inspirational, touching, and believable. Wish there was a sequal or other stories like this. LAX is such a great sport I cannot imagine it wouldn't inspire other works of fiction. If you know a LAX player........this is a MUST HAVE gift. Each time they read it, they will gain a little more out of it. HRLAX- GO OAKS, Norfolk Nighthawks Norfolk, VA

One that can be brought forward in life!
