The Spirit Duplicator and Other Shorts

As far as I can tell it has been forty-five years since Ogar Plinkelton has published any work. I say "as far as I can tell" because the last work of his that I was able to locate was published forty-five years ago. All of his work is out of print and there is no mention of Ogar Plinkelton in the Worldcat. Yet I know the work exists for I have copies of sixteen of his novels that I found in my father's office. My father was Plinkelton's attorney and apparently Plinkelton paid him with copies of his novels instead of money. On his deathbed, my father told me that Plinkelton wanted me to continue as his attorney. He said Plinkelton would contact me. After my father died I discovered that there were no files nor records of the work he had done for Plinkelton. All that existed were the sixteen novels. My father died sixteen years ago and I never received any communication from Plinkelton until several months ago. I received a package sent from Paris without any return address. Inside was a letter from Plinkelton accompanied with a copy of one of his books titled "Irony in the Rutabega Patch." Written in the same style of the sixteen novels he had given to my father, this one was payment for the work he asked me to do. The work was simple. He said he was making videos that he wished to post on Youtube and asked me to set up a Youtube channel for him named "Existenstial Physics with Ogar Plinkelton". He said he would send me links to the videos so I could download them and post them on Youtube.

Plinkelton was sending me a video approximately every month. After the fourth video, I received another package from him, this one post marked from Wales, again without return address. It contained a book written by him titled "The Typewriter Paradox." Also contained in the package was a manuscript. In the letter that accompanied the package Plinkelton asked me to have the manuscript published by the handsack press. He said that someone from the handsack press would be contacting me and that I should forward the manuscript to whoever contacted me. He said it was absolutely essential that the book be printed using a spirit duplicator and that the handsack press would do that.

Having read seventeen of Plinkelton's novels (perhaps I am the only person alive who can make that claim), I recommend trying to find copies of these incredibly creative and strange works. In the mean time, read this book. In the first Plinkelton video that I posted on Youtube, he says that some of his books can be found in abandoned buildings. Why? How? I know very little about Ogar Plinkelton, but whenever I see an abandoned building, I am inevitably drawn to it.
