The Spider and the Caterpillar

When an assassin for hire is contacted by an old enemy, who has no knowledge that the two share a connection, the assassin is asked to take a potential job for the man. Despite knowing that he will be getting little to no information about the potential victim, the assassin is urged by his partner to accept the request; due in part to a large payment that will be offered in advance.

An agreement is made that the victim will be delivered to the assassin's base and that he will be allowed to find information about the potential victim before fully accepting the job. With this agreement made, the victim is delivered; though to the surprise of the assassin and his partner, it is a teenage girl that is delivered to them.

After discovering that this girl has ties to the person that hired the assassin to kill her, the assassin and his friend set out to find out answers about why. Unable to find answers, even with some familiar allies, the assassin's friend suggests that they meet up with two acquaintances of his; and ultimately the duo bring their potential victim with them.

Upon making friends with the people they go to for help, the group discovers a surprising secret about the assassin's intended potential victim and after a theory is formed they decide to change her status and continue trying to find out more about her.

As the group continues trying to find more information, and are forced into surprising situations; it becomes apparent, as more allies are made and more surprises unfold, that this is the start of something bigger then anything the assassin or anyone had ever thought.
