Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You" (John 17:1). The source and ground of glory are summed up as "Christ Glorified." That is, Christ glorified is the source and basis of our glory. As He was glorified, so shall we be glorified. When He was here on earth, He was NOT here in glory. He was here in humiliation for the purpose of voluntarily self-emptying Himself. Now He sits with the Father in glory with the purpose of bringing many sons to glory.
