The Sounds of Silence is composed of three stories. In "Mariweathers," Brent finds out the exponential effects of silence can be infinite. In the story "Whole," Captain Jonas chases a sound that bears man's greatest struggle. In the third story, "Rumor Has It," Bishop Albertus Mongiano struggles with a silence that nearly destroys his life as a clergy. Albertus later discovers his silence bears the sound of falsity. But Albertus couldn't distinguish truth without his divine faith.
