Based on the Greek myth of Proteus, an old man journeys across a morphing sea as he wishes to return to the beginning of his journey, which he believes spans centuries and even millennia. He is aware of how Poseidon interferes with the sea voyage of various travelers, and he aims to help people make it safely across the morphing sea. The Old Man of the Sea hears the song of time, which he believes will allow the sea to regain its former calm. Proteus remembers seeing the sea change for the first time, and he aims to recapture this moment. This collection includes the two Song of Time books: Proteus, the Old Man of the Sea and Proteus and the Still Blue Kingdom.
