What holds the sanity of a man when fate defiles that which is most innocent. How can a butterfly's wings invoke storms in far away lands never known to the petite creature. Where should one find peace amidst the crumbling of hope. A modern epic inspired by the likes of Beowulf, Troy, Gilgamesh the Odyssey; broken in three parts, follows a prince whose life is torn when realizing his beloved wife was defile and killed by northman (inspire by Scandinavia Vikings), and his two sons taken from him. His actions affecting two brothers living in the icy lands of the North, who wanting to defend their land from invaders, seek to unite the major tribes into one as was prophecy by the great Seer. Finally the climax, where both fates collied. There is no right or wrong, but ideologies colliding through reasons and actions against those never met before. The short story is written in poetic format, having mystical creatures, religious symbolism, personification of Death and her doings, and how human nature interacts with such entities dwelling the world. It is dark fantasy, gothic, for an adult audience, not for the faint hearted. Truly, I am not good at writing summaries for my stories. I hope the words in this book steal your time for the better, transfer your entirely body onto another world through imagery, feelings, lingering thoughts, and wishful thinking, as my favorites books written by greater man than myself have done for me. If you like historical fiction, with a touch of mythology, are a bit tired of having a protagonist center story and wish to see follow a story for what is it and not from the view of one character, and enjoy poetry, try this one out, I'm sure it will not disappoint. Thank you, dearly. RQM
